The HSN410 is a four-roller machine for reviewing mechanical opening and cleaning of suitable cotton waste. Rotating pinned rollers provide opening and cleaning action. The process arrangement should be selected for the incoming material and intended recovered-fiber application.
Potential feedstocks include suitable blowroom and carding waste. Review fiber composition, contamination, incoming fiber condition and preparation requirements before equipment selection. Recovered fiber may be evaluated for wadding or other defined uses through representative material trials.
Final fiber length, cleanliness, short-fiber content and end-use suitability depend on material and operating conditions. A fixed final fiber-length range or universal cleaning result is not guaranteed.
